Resources in Construction

What is Resource?

In each and every work, there are some requirements. If you want to read, you need a book, if you want to write, you need pen & paper, etc. These requirements are called resources.

Types of Resources

Resources are of three kinds, they are the 3Ms.

• Manpower,
• Materials, and
• Machineries.

As most of this site will discuss about construction, let’s get an example for constructing a sub-surface drain.

For the excavation, we will require machine (excavators), for the base & wall of the drain, we need materials (shutter, concrete, rebar, etc.), and for placing the concrete, we need manpower.

Other Resources

There is another important ‘M’ is present in construction. And that is MONEY. Money is a critical component in any project and considered as a separate resource known as Cost.
